Hella New Zealand experienced rapid growth. The combined effects of solar radiation and increasing internal heat loads had made working conditions within the factory uncomfortable for the staff.
Energy conscious management required an energy conscious solution.
The Colt solution was to ventilate the factory by utilising the powerful natural currents already present within the building. This was achieved by placing electrically controlled MultiFunction ventilators along the ridgeline to allow the hot air to escape, and placing SeeFire operable louvred ventilators at low level to allow cool fresh air to enter as replacement.
The whole system is zoned and thermostatically actuated.
Best of all... reducing the temperature on hot days is now free!
