One of the most stunning backdrops of any Colt project in New Zealand, The Remarkables Mountain Range in Queenstown. Fitting then that this may also be one of our most high tech projects. Colt Products and Systems offered a full turnkey design and installation package, from the cause and effect chart to the addressable controls design. The electrically actuated double glazed Colt Kameleon’s are part of the smoke control system with the Colt OPV Controller configured to operate internal motorised windows and doors via a signal from within the Fire Panel. The automatic nature of the system means the roof will open on a hot day but close if it rains or wind pressures are too high. Silent thermally insulated roof vents keep energy costs down in both winter and summer by providing natural light, natural ventilation and piece of mind in case of a fire.
