Bunnings Wairau Park

Typical of most warehouse buildings, Bunnings Wairau Park required an effective smoke/fire ventilation system. The NZ Fire Service and the Building Code require smoke venting to such buildings and as fibre reinforced skylights do not provide this, Colt were commissioned to supply a dedicated pneumatic smoke venting system.

Colt Products and Systems were commissioned to design, manufacture and install a Euro Meteor natural smoke control system. The Euro Meteor is an attractive, low profile, high performance natural flap ventilator that is primarily designed for smoke control applications. It is completely weatherproof when closed and virtually maintenance free. As with all Colt products, the Euro Meteor has been tested and complies with AS/NZS 4740 and International Standard EN13030.

Given that Euro Meteor is a tested and calculable system, only a minimal amount of ventilators were required to provide adequate ventilation.
