The Hunter Centre

This University of Otago’s teaching and learning centre has achieved a 5 Star rating representing ‘New Zealand Excellence’ in design of a green building.

A major attribute to this design are the Coltlite natural ventilators and certified smoke vents. Coltlites were specified extensively throughout this building allowing this educational facility to be entirely naturally ventilated, including thermal breaks to both outer and internal sections.

Performance tested to AS/NZS 4284 and EN 12208, Coltlite LWT has an extruded aluminium outer frame with framed controllable double glazed louvres. Coltlite is available with pneumatic, manual, 230v ac or 24v dc electric controls for the potential to be connected to any building management system. Complementing this highly technical automated system is their flawless and aesthetically pleasing design that becomes a stunning feature and architectural statement.
